A Golf & Luxury Rail Journey
There's a particular kind of traveller this itinerary is built for — one who thinks the journey between destinations should be as memorable as the destinations themselves. It opens with two rounds of golf around Pretoria, then boards a vintage luxury train for a slow, scenic crossing of the bushveld into Zimbabwe, arriving at Victoria Falls by rail rather than runway.
The train itself is the centrepiece of the middle days — restored 1920s-era carriages, private ensuite cabins, a dining car, and an observation deck for watching the country change outside the window. From the Falls, a final flight delivers you into the Greater Kruger for a proper safari close to the trip.
Pretoria
Arrive at OR Tambo International and transfer directly to Pretoria for your first round at one of the city's championship courses. An easy first night, with dinner at your hotel.
Pretoria → Capital Park Station
A second morning round, then in the late afternoon, transfer to Capital Park Station to board your vintage luxury train. Settle into your private suite before a formal dinner aboard as the train pulls out for Zimbabwe.

A full day of slow travel through the South African bushveld and into Botswana's borderlands. Meals are taken in the dining car, with time on the open-air observation deck as the landscape changes outside.
Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe
The train crosses into Zimbabwe and arrives at Victoria Falls Station by late morning — a genuinely memorable way to reach one of the world's great natural wonders. Transfer to your hotel, with the afternoon free to visit the Falls themselves for the first time.

A round at Elephant Hills Golf Course, a Gary Player-designed course on the edge of the Zambezi National Park, where warthog and the occasional elephant are entirely normal hazards. The spray from the Falls is visible from parts of the course on a good day.

A guided walking tour of the Falls, followed by a sunset cruise on the Upper Zambezi. An optional helicopter flight over the gorge is available for those who want the full scale of it from above.
Victoria Falls → Hoedspruit, South Africa
A flight back into South Africa and on to the Greater Kruger, with an afternoon game drive to ease into the safari half of the trip.

Dawn and dusk game drives in the heart of Big Five country, with the pool and the deck for the heat of the day in between.
Hoedspruit → Johannesburg
A final dawn game drive, then a flight to Johannesburg connecting to your onward or homebound flight.
